Alexandra Waczlawczyk / Project management
Project management involves the coordination, prioritisation and scheduling of a wide range of different information among everyone involved. The challenge is in keeping sight of all the various groups and people and their differing requirements and priorities. It sometimes feels like I’m a police officer working to direct traffic at a busy road intersection.
What I enjoy most about my job
When my support ensures that projects are realised without any hold ups and when the planning results in a three-dimensional brand space that can be experienced by all the senses - that is truly thrilling.
My tip for a successful exhibition appearance
Include an “ice breaker” in your planning. There are many options available which, of course, depend on the overall concept. Speciality foods for example - waffles are not only taste good, but also smell great - other examples include games, classic cars, flashy media technology or well placed product demonstrations. Benefits: Your sales team will find it much easier to start a conversation with interested visitors to the stand. And when the exhibition is over, such attractions are great for returning to conversations had during the exhibition.
Exhibition stand construction for me is....
positively challenging like my private and highly enjoyable personal journeys. New goals, new routes, new people leading to new horizons.
