When a pop-up card is opened a three-dimensional object unfolds – the design “pops” out of the card and tells a story. Based on this idea, the shared Schenk stand achieved the desired effect with all structures and furniture folding out of the wall, or “popping up”. The story being told here is one of development and realisation of exactly what the customer requests. This is the core competency that has been offered for over half a century by the successful shopfitters Schenk Shopsolutions and SCS Storeconcept.
The effect of clarity, practicality and breadth that is brought out by the dominating white colour is part of the desired concept for the stand. The exhibition stand should become a meeting point with people and their conversations at the very centre of attention.
“Plenty of great conversations took place over the 5 days in Düsseldorf from which we were able to take one or two ideas. The stand became a meeting point, which was our main goal. We would like to thank all our visitors as well as our supporters for an excellent time in Düsseldorf.” That was how Michel Schürch, managing director at Storeconcept AG, described this year’s EuroShop.
EuroShop takes places every three years in Düsseldorf. It is the world’s largest and most important trade show for the retail industry. 2,368 exhibitors attended the EuroShop 2017 covering a total area of 127,000 m² to present their innovations to an international audience. No other trade show in Düsseldorf sees such a high level of investment in stand construction as at the EuroShop. The commitment of the exhibitors at this show is not matched anywhere. This is also shown by the visitor numbers: Around 114,000 visitors from a total of 138 countries attended the show for an average of 2.1 days, giving the event top marks. 96% were satisfied with what was on offer.
